Family Clothing Center
The Family Clothing Center is run by a totally volunteer staff who serve anywhere from one to ten days each month. The center services about 400 individuals monthly with free clothing and linens. Our unique Boutique section features new and gently used clothing, some with tags still attached! All clothing is completely free, except for the Boutique items, for which we request a $1.00 donation. All are welcome to come and browse our selection, regardless of income.
Every item in the center is sorted and only good, clean and serviceable items are put out for the patrons. To accomplish this end many hours are invested in the sorting and display of goods. Clothing not suitable for the center is then transported, also by volunteers, to the Prospect School in Glens Falls.
Donations of clean, gently used clothing and linens are gratefully accepted, either during Center hours or in the drop box located at the back of the Outreach building.
