Community Garden
The Community Garden at the Outreach center exists to provide self-sufficiency, quality of life and independence for individuals in need of a supportive helping hand and to recognize the volunteer contributions that each individual uniquely makes to our community.
Here, you can grow a variety of healthy vegetables for your family at no cost to yourself other than seed and fertilizer. We have a small amount of money available for seed / starter plant stipend.
Plots range in size from 5 x 5 to 10 x 20 and are all tilled and pre-amended with organic goat manure. The plots are fenced against animal damage.
Some tools, a wheelbarrow, hoses, water and a compost bin are located on site.
The community of gardeners will offer advice on all steps of gardening, depending upon your interest.
If calling to reserve a plot, please mention your interest in advice or workshops.
